According to the National Right to Life Committee, since 1973, there have been more than 47 million abortions. Do the math. That means that every year, more American lives are lost than in the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, World Wars I and II and the Korean, Vietnam and Persian Gulf wars COMBINED. What would those lives have accomplished? Perhaps one of those lives might have found the cure to cancer. One of those lives could have been the first female president. Perhaps one of those lives could have been President of Yale or Harvard.
I am 100% pro-life, from conception to natural death with exceptions only for cases of extreme malice. These include, murder, murder of multiple individuals and murder of a pregnant woman carrying a child to full term. I oppose euthanasia and assisted suicide. I will work to strengthen the parental notification laws in our Commonwealth and will work with pro-life colleagues to encourage adoption as an abortion alternative.
